For this event, we will restage Composition #43, an abstract work created in collaboration with musicians Patrick Whitehead and Robert Alexander. This will be the first time all three sections are performed together.

This Festival, which takes place in Santa Barbara, presents Requiem, a stunning solo for pointe performed by the beautiful Chelsea Sprague. The solo explores loss in the context of feeling relief, rather than sorrow.

Rain Ross is an accomplished
teacher, choreographer, and
performer. In her teaching, she is
recognized for creating a space for
dancers to come to a greater
understanding about their body and
their dancing. She encourages taking
risks, as long as they are based in
knowledge of physicality.
Ross has been recognized for her
choreography through awards and
commissions of her work, such as a
dance installment for the
Museum
Noguchi exhibit. Her choreography is
engaging and diverse, and utilizes
dancers in ways that both pushes
them to new levels and highlights their
strengths.
In performance, one can see that
Ross values both the contemporary
and the classical within dance, for she
is able to embody both aspects, either
separately or in fusion. She has
performed with ballet and contemporary companies, including The Playhouse Dance Company in
