Rain Ross Dance is committed to dance education, cultivating the individual artist through various movement modalities. Each class encourages students to find a sense of autonomy in their own learning process by giving them skills to continue to grow as dancers and artists.  Through dance, RRD teachers hope to instill a sense of curiosity, not just about dance, but about the world and the ways that we can all impact the world.

The class takes dancers into and out of the floor, as well as uses standing patterns to build strength and stability. Class looks at both subtle and complicated movement patterns, setting up the dancers for the final combinations, which challenge both the body and the mind.

Through improvisational games and scores, dancers explore movement creativity, focusing on compositional improvisation.  Dancers are encouraged to develop confidence in their own movement choices, developing a wider vocabulary of options, both as a performer and as a choreographer.
